This course has been designed specifically for those who are new to yoga, or are in the early stages of their yoga journey. The course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the foundations of a flowing yoga practice, as well as introduce you to traditional poses and pranayama (breathwork). In each 60 minute class, you will explore a handful of foundational poses which are repeated and built upon until you move through a whole class. This approach will enable you to learn and repeat the most commonly practiced poses, gaining in confidence, developing your awareness of the correct alignment and building upon your skills during each class. By the end of the course, you will have: • Learnt the most commonly practiced yoga postures, including seated poses, standing poses, backbends, balances, twists, along with sun salutations and yogic breathing • Explored the correct alignment, enabling you to practice poses safely • Learnt how to modify poses to suit your unique body • Built strength, flexibility and confidence • Received a basic introduction to yoga philosophy and the history of yoga • Learnt new skills to enhance your physical and mental wellbeing • Connected with a small group of likeminded people and enjoyed a valuable learning experience for your self-development and wellbeing • Developed the confidence to attend mixed level classes • Had the opportunity to ask questions about your yoga practice and receive support • Developed the foundations from which to make yoga a life-long practice This is a 6 week course which takes place on the following dates: Sunday 12th January, 12:30am-13:30pm Sunday 19th January, 12:30am-13:30pm Sunday 26th January, 12:30am-13:30pm Sunday 2nd February, 12:30am-13:30pm Sunday 9th February, 12:30am-13:30pm Sunday 16th February, 12:30am-13:30pm Please make sure that you can attend all dates as refunds or discounts cannot be provided for missed sessions.
Cancellation policy
Refunds are available up to two weeks before the start of courses. If you cancel within 2 weeks of the start, we regret that we cannot offer a refund.
