Introduction to Ashtanga Workshop Sunday 8th September 11:30-1:30pm With Olivia Wilkinson The workshop will begin with a warm welcome, setting a tone of openness and curiosity for the practice ahead. You will receive a brief overview of Ashtanga yoga, including its origins, philosophy, and key principles. This will include discussing its focus on synchronising breath with movement, and the importance of the Ashtanga sequence (series) as a structured and dynamic practice. You will then move through a complete practice, where you will deepen your awareness of poses that make up the Ashtanga Primary Series, receiving guidance on proper alignment and modifications to suit your unique body. There will be opportunities for questions and exploration throughout the session and you will be encouraged to approach the practice with a sense of mindfulness and self-awareness. Suitable for all levels.
