Pilates This class is around 50 minutes to 1 hour and suitable for beginners and all levels. Pilates focuses on the 6 principles, Centering, Breathing, Precision, Control, Flow, and Concentration. Pilates gives us the opportunity to re-focus both our mind and body back towards moving in its optimal (neutral) position, where gravity is equally distributed throughout the body, joints are aligned appropriately and muscles are balanced and effectively recruited. This class is held at The Studio in Hythe, there is plenty of parking available outside. Full address details are given once the booking is complete. Having good alignment is also so important for our major body systems (nervous, respiratory, digestive immune) to work more effectively, and efficiently. For example, a slumped/rounded shoulders position can impact lung capacity, which could in turn result in shallower breathing leading to less oxygen and ultimately less energy. Try it for yourself, right now; imagine, a string is lifting the crown of your head up up towards the ceiling. Take a deep breath and see how that feels (note Doctors often ask us to sit up straight when they listen to our lungs). Next, take a deep breath and imagine the same piece of string is gently pulling your head/spine forwards, to where the wall meets the ceiling. Notice the difference? I personally feel the benefits of the lifted (string to ceiling) posture.
Cancellation policy
Classes with Vee Cancellation Policy I believe in having a fair, clear, simple to understand cancellation policy to help avoid confusion and form clear boundaries. I understand that sometimes plans change, and you may need to cancel a class. Refunds for classes are not permitted. Transfers are allowed up to a maximum of 24 hours prior to the class commencing. If you cancel within 24 hours of the class commencing, transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances. Refund Policy: Once a payment is made for a class, package or private session with Vee there will be no refunds allowed.
