Step into the enchanting world of The Nutcracker in this exclusive dance masterclass with Giacomo Rovero, Soloist of The Royal Ballet. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from a current Royal Ballet Company artist in a rare and inspiring workshop experience. This special masterclass offers students the chance to develop confidence, technique, and stage presence while gaining insight into the world of professional classical Ballet. Bio: Italian dancer Giacomo Rovero is a Soloist of The Royal Ballet. Rovero was born in Piacenza. He trained at the Accademia di Danza Domenichino da Piacenza with Giuseppina Campolonghi, Michela Arcelli and Elisabetta Rossi. Early awards include gold medal at the 2011 Youth America Grand Prix. He went on to train with Christian Schön at the School of the Hamburg Ballet before studying at The Royal Ballet Upper School 2013-16. He joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme for the 2016/17 Season. He entered the Company as an Artist for the 2017/18 Season. He was promoted to First Artist in 2022 and Soloist in 2024. Roles with The Royal Ballet have included in Florestan (The Sleeping Beauty), Benno (Swan Lake), The Sugar Plum Prince and Hans-Peter/ The Nutcracker (The Nutcracker), Lensky (Onegin), Benvolio (Romeo and Juliet), Adam (MADDADDAM), pas de six (Giselle), lead roles in Danses concertantes and roles in Fool's Paradise, Anemoi, The Dante Project, Scènes de ballet, The Weathering, Like Water for Chocolate and Symphonic Dances.
