About
Join us for a Deeside Wellbeing Collective community session which alternates practitioners from month to month. A donation based class/workshop, free or just pay what you can. For our January community offering, join Sandy Batho for our 65+ Pilates session. Tailored to keep everyone moving no matter the niggles, dodgy hips or sticky shoulders. A mix of chair-based and standing Pilates designed to help you move with comfort and confidence. Using the support of a chair, you’ll explore strengthening exercises to improve joint movement, posture, mobility and balance — all without needing to get up and down from the floor. Think seated Pilates is slow and unchallenging, think again - this class is tailored to be as challenging or as gentle as needed and really will build core strength to keep your posture perfect. All over 65’s welcome – no previous Pilates experience needed. Not over 65 - recommend it to your parents or elderly neighbours. Social and physical wellbeing in one tidy package. This is a donation-based session held in a warm and welcoming community space. Just bring yourself, wear something comfy, and come as you are. All equipment is provided by the studio. The class takes place at Deeside Wellbeing Collective studio, 11 Scott Skinner Square, Banchory. Our monthly adult donation based classes/workshops in 2026 have been made possible by the award of grant funding from the Aberdeenshire Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund Round 5.
