Community Session (Donation Based) Hatha Flow Yoga for Mental Health Awareness Week

About

Join us for a Deeside Wellbeing Collective community session which will alternate practitioners from month to month. A donation based class, just pay what you can. This session is with Jayne Raithby (Yoga With Jayne) in honour of Mental Health Awareness week with the theme this year being 'Community'. Jayne will guide you through a Hatha Flow and stretch during this evening session. In Hatha Yoga certain postures are believed to release negative emotions and others are felt to encourage clarity of mind. It will begin with creatively sequenced flow to draw attention to the body and release tension. There will be an emphasis on the breath, which helps to relax and clear the mind. The session will finish with a guided meditation to quieten the mind and support mental well-being. Yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, etc are provided but please bring your own mat if you prefer. The class takes place at Deeside Wellbeing Collective studio, 11 Scott Skinner Square, Banchory. Our monthly adult donation based classes in 2025 have been made possible by the award of grant funding from the Aberdeenshire Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund Round 4.
