Join me in The Old Chapel on Drove Road for a wonderful meditation with accompanying sound. Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep is a form of guided meditation which relaxes the mind and bodily senses, promoting self-awareness. This guided meditation encourages your mind to let go and naturally drift into a deep state of relaxation. Allowing your awareness to be carried by flow of the universe rather than steering you in a desired direction. Your physical body rests as your thoughts are active in an observational state. Yoga nidra is often a more easily accessible meditation for busy minds that flit and dance. Encouraging expansiveness and freedom, just like the moment of falling asleep, that liminal space between wakefulness and sleep. Beautifully refreshing and rejuvenating. Please bring a mat, pillow and blanket for your comfort to enable you to relax and enjoy. I do have items to borrow. If you'd prefer to sit, I do have a variety of comfy chairs to use. Health concerns: Please do inform Kay of any current health concerns. The sound baths are not recommended during the first three months of pregnancy. If you have a pacemaker, metal implants, experience epilepsy or other types of seizures, have a sound sensitive condition such as Labrythitus or Meniers Disease or had recent surgery (past 3 months). If you have any concerns, please do message for information and reassurance as this is a general sound bath with instruments played around you which can be adjusted. Or discuss if a 1-1 individualised experience tailored to your needs may be more appropriate.
