Yin & Myofascial Release: Happy Hips Sunday 24th May 4-5:30pm Iain Ross This 90-minute workshop offers a more targeted, physical approach to Yin Yoga, combining longer-held poses with myofascial release techniques to support mobility and ease in the hips. Over time, habitual movement patterns and long periods of time spent seated can cause the connective tissue in our hips to get stuck. The good news is, these fascial adhesions can be undone and create much more freedom in movement. The connective tissues in our body respond really well to two things: pressure and tension i.e. massage and stretching. So, using props such as balls, blocks and bolsters, we’ll work into deeper layers of tension and fascia, helping to release restriction, improve range of motion, and build resilience in the body. With an emphasis on purposeful, focused work, this session is ideal for anyone looking to address tight hips, support movement, or complement a more active practice. Expect a restful but powerful practice, with lots of practical tools and techniques to take away that can be easily practiced at home to improve everyday mobility and ease of movement.
