About
Slow down, release tension, and find deep inner calm with Yin Yoga. This meditative, floor-based class is the perfect antidote to the stresses of daily life, offering you a chance to reset your mind and body. In this 60-minute practice, Louise will guide you through a series of long-held, passive postures that focus on the deep connective tissues of the body—like fascia, ligaments, and joints. Each pose is an invitation to breathe deeply, soften, and gently stretch, enhancing flexibility and improving joint health. Having a very similar effect on our energies as an acupuncture treatment; by holding the various poses, a yin yoga sequence can help restore the healthy flow of Qi (energy) in our bodies. As we breathe through each posture, we invite a sense of softening with each exhale, releasing both mental and physical tension. With each inhale, we embrace warmth and nourishment, embodying vibrancy and vitality. Not only does Yin Yoga support the physical body, but it also promotes mindfulness and emotional balance. By holding the poses and turning inward, you’ll cultivate stillness, patience, and a greater awareness of your body and mind. Though often underestimated, the benefits of Yin Yoga are profound. This meditative practice complements fast-paced lifestyles, offering physical and mental resilience, injury prevention, and stress management. Louise’s calm and nurturing teaching style makes this class accessible to all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Whether you’re looking to complement a more dynamic practice, release tension, or simply take a moment to slow down, this class is for you.
