For the self-employed and remote working club! Becoming self-employed, starting a freelance career and now having more access to working from home can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. But research also shows that these same ways of working, especially self-employment, can create more challenge than expected. Finding work, irregular income, and the blurring of work and home life are all big challenges, especially when these are all new changes. External factors, such as the coronavirus pandemic, can make working from home much more stressful, and many freelancers have reported their productivity has dropped, while issues including depression, anxiety and insomnia have increased as a result. However, there are many reasons to be positive for the future. Not only are the numbers of UK self-employed rising, and more companies are enabling remote working, but more and more new, and established, self-employed professionals and freelancers are publicly sharing their experiences of coping with mental health challenges. This helps to reduce the stigma around admitting issues, and seeking help or support. It's important that anyone encountering mental wellbeing and health problems knows that they're not alone, and non-judgemental, confidential professional care is available. At Sass, we LOVE opening our doors and creating a welcoming office to those that want a change of scenery to work. Feedback from our regular visitors says that the environment encourages calm and relaxation and in turn, promotes focus and productivity. SO for an epic, one-hour workshop, we welcome Lauren, founder of Rebranding Mental Health to help you develop your own tools and strategies to feel more connected, focused and, most importantly, spend more time feeling good during your working week! Lauren has years of experience managing her own business as well as supporting self-employed individuals and larger, corporate organisations - sharing techniques that make a real difference to how people think, feel and live in their working roles and environments. Kate has personally undertaken a 12-week Reset course with Lauren and credits her for so many of the tools she utilises today to manage her mental health whilst managing multiple businesses! This is a very exciting collaboration for Sass and one we know is much-needed for so many people right now. Thursday 13 July 11am - 12pm £10 investment After the one-hour session, Lauren will be staying at Sass for the afternoon, offering free 20 minute drop-in sessions for individual support. You can also book one of these sessions if you attend the workshop to obtain further, personalised advice.

Cancellation policy

CANCELLATIONS: If you need to cancel your class for any reason, you can do this 48 hours before the class start time and the credit will be added back on to your account. If cancelled within 48 hours of the start time, you will not be credited or refunded.
