Trail Running and Yoga Workshop with GB ultra-trail runner Meryl Cooper & Laura Ross of Banchory Yoga Do you love trail running but feel you lack confidence on the trails? Do you want to improve your uphill and downhill running skills? Do you want to learn from an expert in the field about how to run more efficiently over trail terrain? Do you want to recover well and learn a simple yoga routine specifically for runners? Meryl is a GB ultra-trail runner, certified Health Coach and Running Coach and will help you to develop confidence running on the trails. If you can run 5K (minimum level of experience required) and want to improve your trail running skills then this workshop is for you! We will head outdoors on the trails together for a 1 hour trail running session where lots of tips and tricks to improve your trail running will be shared. The outdoor run session will be followed by a 1 hour yoga session for trail runners led by Laura Ross of Banchory Yoga. There will be time for some warm tea and a Q&A session with Meryl and Laura at the end of the morning. WHEN: Sunday 16th February START TIME: 9.30am END TIME: 12.30pm MEET POINT: Deeside Wellbeing Collective Studio, 11 Scott Skinner Square, Banchory AB31 5SE COST: £30 WHAT YOU WILL NEED: a snack and some water for after the run, trail running shoes (preferable but not essential), suitable clothing for a run outdoors in Scotland in February! Comfortable clothing for the yoga session after the outdoor run. All yoga mats and props provided in the studio. All participants acknowledge that a training session is physically strenuous. As such they must be medically fit to participate and take full responsibility for their own personal health and fitness. You must be able to answer NO to the following questions in order to be able to sign up for the workshop: Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor? Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity? In the past month, have you had chest pain when you were not doing physical activity? Do you lose your balance because of dizziness or do you ever lose consciousness. Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example, back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity? Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart condition? Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity?

Cancellation policy

In the event of your cancellation more than 24 hours in advance of the session, you may request a refund or have someone attend in your place. In the event of your cancellation within 24 hours, refunds are not possible.
