I’m so excited to be running this 8 week course again after the success of last year designed for complete beginners to running, including anyone who has a very sedentary lifestyle prior to commencing. Over the course of 8 sessions, we gradually progress from walk/run intervals to running a full 30 mins non-stop. To help you progress, I’ll coach you on efficient running techniques and teach you how to warm up before a run and stretch properly afterwards. The support and encouragement of the others in the group will make a world of difference to your motivation, fitness and confidence levels! The course will run every Thursday at 6.15pm from 16th April to 4th June at Lydiard Park. The group size is deliberately limited to a maximum of 15 to ensure you will receive more personal attention than is possible with larger groups. It also creates a great atmosphere, making it easier for everyone to get to know each other in the group. In order to achieve the final target of 30 mins continuous running, participants are given a weekly plan to follow in their own time involving two additional sessions per week consisting of walk/run intervals. Each week gradually builds your confidence and stamina to progress to a 30 minute run. A commitment to completing most of these sessions is important to get the most out of the course and reach the 30 mins target. The course is run by Jules of Train with Jules who has over 20 years of coaching and training experience.
